Heavy southward movements off Boiler Bay included a Wilson's storm petrel, a Manx shearwater, about 70 ancient murrelets and about 4,500 rhinoceros auklets. A very heavy southward gull movement was reported all along the coast during the past two weeks. A male hooded oriole visited a Reedsport hummingbird feeder. Common redpolls were seen on Nehalem Bay and at the Astoria Mitigation Bank near the airport. An emperor goose continues to be seen along the Astoria Airport Road. Two Harris's sparrows were at Brookings. A tropical kingbird and two trumpeter swans were at Cape Blanco and a Say's phoebe was near Sixes. A snowy egret has been hanging out at Coos Bay. A south polar skua landed on the beach at Cannon Beach. A glaucous gull was at Seaside on Nov. 26.
